(09/01/07) Vier Groene ministers in Tsjechië

In de nieuwe Tsjechische regering zullen vier groenen ministersposten bekleden. Het gaat om de bevoegdheden Milieu, Buitenlandse Zaken, Onderwijs/Jeugd/Sport en Mensenrechten/Nationale Minderheden.

Greens secure four ministerial posts in coalition government

On the occasion of today's appointment of the coalition government in the Czech Republic by President Václav Klaus, Green MEPs Daniel Cohn-Bendit , Greens/EFA Co-President, and Milan Horáèek stated:

"The Czech Greens have succeeded in securing four ministerial posts in the new coalition government and we welcome this achievement. Martin Bursík, chairmen of the Czech Greens, has been appointed deputy Prime Minister and Environment Minister. The other Czech Greens in the cabinet include Karel Schwarzenberg as Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dana Kuchtova as Minister for Education, Youth and Sport and Džamila Stehlikova, who will be responsible for the Commission on Human Rights and National Minorities."
