Gambling zones: Member of the Federation Council billionaire Suleiman Kerimov proposes a project to establish a gambling zone with two casinos and large recreation infrastructure in seaport Makhachkala in Dagestan. Since 2009 gambling is permitted in the Krasnodar and Kaliningrad regions, and Altay and Primorye (Far East) territories. In August 2016, PM Medvedev signed a Government Resolution, which opened a gambling zone in Krasnaya Polyana (Sochi). A project of a gambling zone in Crimea is being discussed. (Izvestia)
